Your photo
What photo resolution is recommended?
For crisp results we recommend at least 200 pixels per inch at the size you print, after cropping. Around 150 ppi is usually acceptable for a poster viewed from a few feet away; below that, prints can look soft.
| Size | Ideal (200 ppi) | Minimum (150 ppi) |
|---|---|---|
| 12 × 18 in | 2,400 × 3,600 px | 1,800 × 2,700 px |
| 18 × 24 in | 3,600 × 4,800 px | 2,700 × 3,600 px |
| 24 × 36 in | 4,800 × 7,200 px | 3,600 × 5,400 px |
The studio measures your photo as you crop and shows its quality for every size, so you’ll know before you buy. A modern phone photo (12 MP or more) is generally fine for 12 × 18 and 18 × 24 when not heavily cropped. Avoid screenshots and images saved from social media, which are compressed. Use the original file from your camera or race photographer.
Which file types can I upload?
JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 40 MB. iPhone HEIC photos aren’t supported yet; export them as JPEG (“Most Compatible”) first.
What photo rights do I need?
You need to own the photo or have permission to print it. If a friend or teammate took it, ask them. Official race photos are usually owned by the photography company. Many sell a personal-use download or print license, so check that your license allows printing. We may decline orders that appear to infringe someone else’s rights. See photo rights & storage.
How are uploaded photos stored and deleted?
While you design, your photo never leaves your device. It’s kept in your browser’s local storage so you can come back later. Delete it anytime from My designs.
When you order, we upload your original photo and the print-ready file to private storage. They are not publicly accessible; our print partner receives the print file through a link that expires. We never use your photos for marketing, never show them publicly without your explicit consent, and never use them to train AI models. You can delete the files from your order page once your order is complete. Our final retention period will be published before launch.
Printing & shipping
How are posters printed and shipped?
Each poster is printed on demand by a professional print partner from a full-resolution PDF generated from your exact design, never a screenshot. Your poster ships directly from the partner to you. We’re finalizing that partnership now, and we’ll publish the exact paper, shipping options and delivery estimates once they’re confirmed. We won’t promise delivery dates we can’t stand behind.
Will the print look like the preview?
The preview and the print file are drawn by the same layout engine, so text, crop and placement match. Colors on paper can differ slightly from your screen, especially on very bright or very dark monitors.
Can I order several posters, or for my whole team?
Yes. Add as many posters as you like to one order, each with its own photo and details. For teams and clubs, see team & club orders.
Can I send a poster as a gift?
Yes. Mark the order as a gift at checkout and ship it straight to the recipient. Gift notes and price-free packing slips depend on our print partner’s capabilities.
Orders
Can I edit my poster after ordering?
Before you check out you can edit as much as you like. Your designs are saved on your device. After payment, the print file is sent to production quickly, so changes may not be possible. Contact us right away at hello@pbframed.com and we’ll do our best.
What if my poster arrives damaged?
Contact us with a photo of the damage and the packaging. Our intent is to replace posters that arrive damaged or misprinted. The exact terms and time limits will be published in our damages & returns policy before launch.
Do I need an account?
No. You can design, save and order without creating an account.
